Your Union: Coming to
a town near you
Dec. 18, 2009 (updated Feb. 2, 2010) - OCSEA will be
continuing to convene regional town hall meetings in the rest of OCSEA’s nine
districts to talk to the union’s rank and file membership about the issues that
interest them.
The next Town Hall
Meeting will be Tues., Feb. 9 at the Manchester Inn and Conference Center, 1027
Manchester Avenue, in Middletown, Ohio from 6 -8 p.m.
The first town hall
meeting was in OCSEA District 5 on Jan. 27 in Cambridge, Ohio. About 60 people
attended and had their questions answered.
At the rest of the
meetings across the state, President Eddie L. Parks, members of OCSEA’s senior
staff and OCSEA field staff and union leadership from the area will be
available to answer questions and talk about a wide range of topics.
The first hour will be
an open house where OCSEA staff showcase the services that are available from
OCSEA, the Union Education Trust and the Union Benefits Trust.
The second hour will be
an open forum discussion where membership is invited to give feedback regarding
the direction of the union.
All members are welcome
and a light snack will be offered. Check back for future meeting locations.
